Rev. Tim Wilkins-
on the left, came to Holy Cross in July 2003 as a Vicar and was ordained in July 2004. He says that it took less than a minute to fall in love with the congregation and that, “There’s no better place on earth to be a pastor than Holy Cross.” His passion in ministry is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. He encourages the church to invite friends and family to come and meet Jesus. Then, as we gather around the Word and Sacraments, Jesus makes, encourages and sends out new disciples to invite more friends and family – to come and meet Jesus.
Rev. Jeff Gibbs – Assisting Pastor, on the right, is a full Professor of Exegetical Theology (that means he teaches the Bible) at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Pastor Jeff began ministry at Holy Cross in the fall of 2008. We are blessed by Pastor Jeff’s passion and gift to teach the Word of God. Every week he leads us into God’s Word where we meet our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord also sends Pastor Jeff and his wife Renee to minister at pastors conferences around the country.
Lay Minister Bob Lehr, center, is a life long member of Holy Cross. Mr. Lehr’s gift is a compassionate ministry to the home-bound and hospitalized. We can’t measure the miles or count the hours that Bob spends to bring the love of Christ to all in need. But we can say that nearly everyone in the congregation and many others have experienced the love of Christ in one of Bob’s visits. His other gifts (besides boundless energy) are teaching and godly wisdom. We are blessed with his Bible teaching and his wise guidance in ministry.
Joyce Sieber, our secretary, has served Holy Cross for more than twenty years. All pastors will tell you, without a good secretary, nothing would get done. Thanks to Joyce, the ministry of Holy Cross keeps moving forward. She answers the steady phone calls, directs a river of mail, answers endless questions, reminds Pastor Tim where he’s supposed to be, is a one woman publishing house, is host to everyone at the door, knows everyone by name … For all this and more we thank her.
