This summer is going to be a great time to be a youth at Holy Cross. Vacation Bible School begins on June 23rd and concludes on June 27th. The theme for VBS this summer is Friendship Trek, where kids will experience fun, faith, and friendship. Each day is packed with songs, games, and Jesus’ love. Make sure to be a part of this exciting Friendship Trek as Jesus guides the way.
Many other exciting things will be taking place for our youth. Sunday School will continue through the summer at the normal time before Worship. Every Sunday the kids will take a journey with Jesus as they explore Bible stories and grow in Christ. Songs and snacks are provided – all we need are the kids! There are also some things I would like to introduce to you. On Sunday nights, the youth are invited to a night of games and devotion over at the School building. The junior high youth are invited to come from 3-5pm and the high school youth are invited to come from 6-8pm. Come and enjoy a laid-back time of faith and relationship building. Along with these, the youth will have the opportunity to serve the church and their neighbors on various service days. Throughout the summer I will make it known when and where the service days will take place. Our first service day was spent at Orphan Grain Train. We had a great time and even got to take some goodies home for ourselves. As if these things weren’t enough, I have heard word that a “kidnapper” is still on the loose…
